Thank you for the picture John.
Correct, the 'flat' version would have been optimal.
You received the only 964 reinforcement style that I was producing back in April of 2017.
And you utilized the 'flat' side of the reinforcement to maximize the surface area to be glued. It works.
If you would like me to send you a 'flat' set, send me a PM.

no need to send the flat ones they are both glued in and will work just fine thanks for the offer though 😎👍
Thank you LPMM for posting these pictures here. They seem to be more detailed than the ones that you sent in your PM.
Yes, you need the FLAT version for your 964. Prior to gluing, preparation will be key.
On both sides, you will want to scrape off any epoxy and get down to the original ABS plastic.
Shouldn't have to worry about the thin epoxy (if any) embedded in the crack lines.
On the driver's side, if what I see is melted ABS plastic (and not epoxy), you will need to sand or file (or chisel) the surface flat and smooth prior to using the ABS plastic glue to bond the new reinforcement piece to the pocket.
Send me a PM or post here if you have questions when you dig into it.

Hi r-mm,
You need the FLAT 964 door pocket reinforcement set.
I have sent you a PM with PayPal instructions.
General DIY instructions for installation can be found at post #2 of this thread.
And a note about the screws that are used to pin the door pocket to the door handle.
The screws in your photos have an oval head. A pan head screw should be used.
It is very easy to over tighten an oval head screw to the point that it will split the plastic door pocket shown in your photos.
I'm not singling you out, I've seen many like this. I suspect what happens is that the original screw loosens up over time, and then a larger screw that just happens to have an oval head (this type of screw is used to hold the pocket to the door for example) is used to pin the pocket to the door, accelerating the chances for a split of the door pocket.

964 door pocket reinforcements shipped out yesterday (Thursday) for dukmon, RicardoD, darylbowden, titleistaddict87, LPMM, and r-mm.
USPS estimates that all will be delivered by Monday at 8PM.
Happy to have received, installed the reinforcements - a quality item that was easy to install. But... that was the easy part. On installation I found what appear to be rivets which have pulled from the door card, leaving the pocket hinge detached. I ordered part 14 which is a sort of plastic speed nut but did not realize that it is not shown at the door hinge. Is the hinge permanently riveted to the door card? Surely someone here has had to repair this...
I have the same issue they do appear to be riveted to the door panel I’ve been thinking about using a pop rivet from the inside of the door panel with a washer to spread the load

FWIW mine has a standard panel screw through the top hole that goes into the plastic speed nut part you have pictured. Bottom one is riveted and the combo holds it securely. Easiest solution would be to finish drilling out the bottom rivet and replacing it with 2 of the plastic speed nuts and screws? Think the screws may have a small washer as well.
this shoulder is missing. The former owner make an improvisation with a piece of metal sheet If I will remove the metal sheet I can`t glue the ABS part. Any advices?
