Sounds like you need to do some work to your car. A lot has changed since 2011 and a well setup 964 is quite the ride. Drive a Camry and then a 964 and tell me there is no point.

I wouldn't even hesitate at that price. Wish I could find one locally at this price.

Are you working out there? If so I don't think that'd be a good DD for ya.

Good luck with the purchase.

Default Thanks VW

So after picking out the perfect car for my commute...450 miles each way, and driving it to work for some years, I get one of these TDI buyback letters in the mail.

Tomorrow my faithful and highly efficient Passat goes to meet the crusher. Vaya con Dios, amigo.

While on a fishing trip in January, out of nowhere, an old friend says he's gonna sell his C2 and would I be interested? '91 C2 coupe manual? Yes...interested.

So after more than a year of bull**** waiting for VW to make good on the settlement, the most efficient car I have ever owned will essentially turn into the coolest car I have ever dreamed of owning.

Thanks VW...looks like I owe you one.

Default Today I closed the deal

Got the car bought today. It was covered in dust and bugs when I wheeled it out of its winter home.

Got a wash, quick wax, and new battery. Cleaned up pretty nice.

Heading to Perfect Power on Monday for service and advice. '91 C2 coupe manual seller agreed to $30k cash, no PPI, but the deal is finally done. Took it for a spin around the island and am feeling pretty good about it tonight.

Thanks to all for the advice.
