Default ZF LSD S-20 & S-40 differences

I currently have 2 transaxles that have LSD factory equipped from 1993 they both are ZF plate type diffa and both look identical on the outside just have different numbers on them obviously. That each end in S-20 and the other S-40 does this mean anything to anyone? I thought I would check before I go tearing the ring gears off and inspecting they are both supposed to be assymetrical ramped units.

Thanks and happy new year

In '93 the only asynetrical lsd was the 20-100 used in turbos and RS all the other n/a cars used a 40 - 40

You can see the ramps through the side holes

So they are both from a special factory G50 base 968 turbo RS trans and they possibly could have been modified or changed over the years and the date codes are around this 1993 but not exact. I was just curious if anyone knows what the S-20 and S-40 signifies?
I was thinking possibly one is a 2 -plate and the other 4 plate? Not sure though thanks for the input
