Also, the tail which was working fine until the day before I collected it, wouldn't automatically rise. I can raise it by using the tail switch, but then it would not go back done after I have used it. But if I let it sit for a day, I can bring the tail down using the switch. Strange gremlin this!
Any thoughts onthe matter is appreciated.

Typically if the spoiler failures are erratic, then it is the spoiler CCU. That was the case on my '90 C2.
