Beautiful day for a drive today, so we took a ride to Sarasota and paid the price with a quarter size rock chip on the windshield. Did a quick search and found this tread. Curious on availability of OEM glass and any tricks or things to look out for during installation. I will not be doing this myself and will need to find someone in the Orlando area.
Here is the stamping on my 93 Cab windshield...any information is appreciated.

When cutting out your current windshield, don’t cut the passenger side bottom of the seal by the A-pillar. This is where the antenna plugs in. I can take a measurement this weekend of exactly where it is on the glass if you’d like.
Glass is held in with a lip rubber , and maybe sum bond.
Easy to remove and refit.
Can get difficult with a new rubber, I'd recommend getting a professional to do it.
I fitted a 993 screen to my 964, flush fit bonded screen.

Finally made it up to my warehouse...forgot my caliper for exact measurement but happened to have a tape measure lying around. The wire comes out of the windshield approximately 10cm from the A pillar:

phil...thank you! this is very helpful...just got a quote from dealer for windshield, now need to find an installer. thanks again--Mike
Recently had my windshield replaced through local Porsche dealer and glass installer...they did a great job. Below is pic of below is pic of windshield stamp.
I had a pretty bad rock chip in mine and had Safelight replace it. Never occurred to me to check the manufacturer.
So, just walked out and I've got neither a Pilkington nor a Sigla. I have a Fuyao on the front and a Sekurit on the rear.
They fit perfectly.
Fuyao is a Chinese mfg while Sekurit is Czech Republic if my Google searching is correct. I've not had an issue with either.
Looks like Pilkington have revived the Triplex brand!
This is from my new heated windscreen that I ordered direct from Pilkington Classics.
Because of COVID it took nearly a year to be made and delivered to the UK.
Has anyone used the 993 seals on the rear window. I heard the rear 993 seal on the side windows as well were smaller in width and looked better than the OEM wider 964 seals. Just wondering if that is true, as have not compared.
