Hi !

I am retrofitting an Onboard computer on my US 1990 C4 Cabriolet. Been searching whole day for the T8 connector in order to connect the outside air sensor. Can anyone please help me with this?
Where is it located ?

I did the OBC retrofit on my '90. This was many years back but if I recall correctly, the wiring harness on the non-OBC cars did not include wires for the temp sensor in the part of the loom that goes from the door jamb, through the door and into the mirror base. I was retrofitting aero mirrors at the same time so I bought the correct connector to match what was on the new mirrors and attached it to the mirror control wires inside the mirror base. I wasn't brave enough to tackle removing/replacing the door harness to add the sensor wires.

In the end I found a reasonable location for the temp sensor ahead of the A/C fan in the front bumper. It's quite accurate except when you are stopped with the A/C on and you get heat buildup from the radiator there.

Thank you ! I also thought of moving the sensor elsewhere but for now my main problem still is to find the connector T8 where to conncet the wires of the Sensor. Do you remember where yours is ?

Sorry, as I said, I did this mod over 10 years ago and I don't recall the exact details. I know I had the tach and speedo out of the dash for some of the work I was doing that may or may not have been related to the temp sensor...

Thank you ! I have a friend who knows where to connect the cables for the outside temperature sensor but as he is overseas he tells me to connect it to the T8 connector under the dashboard on the driver's side. I am looking and looking but can't just find this T8 connector.
My friend's car is a european car but mine is a US model and a cabriolet so the T8 connector might be somewhere else than on the european car ?

hi, I came back to it again today but now I located the connector however it is somewhat different from what it supposed to look like because the US Specs cars and Euro specs cars are not exactly the same.
