Default Original Recaro RS seats

I have been sitting on (not literaly) a pair of genuine porsche RS buckets for quite a few years.

They are 968 CS Sportpaket seats, have all the original factory stickers, with a 968 part number. They are exactly the same as the 964 RS seats. Black fabric with Porshe Logo centers. White shells. Only difference is the "8" in the part number.

What do these go for realistically? I somehow think the 25K asked on eBay for Speedster seats is a bit...optimistic.

A possible trade-***-purchase looms, that would mandate me liquidating stuff. I'l get to the aluminium front lid later...

Love the comment...
"I have a standing offer of $12000 from a Gentleman. The offer was presented on eBay, so I can provide the evidence. I predict they'll be over $20000 within a year, if not sooner..."
... So yeah, $25K BIN makes sense.

I agree that 25K$ is too much, too soon. I will want 12K $ for the pair, plus shipping.

Surely 968 clubsport seats arent anything like rs seats? Arent rs seats leather for a start and also arent they sprung under the seat cushions. Id say 968 cs seats are close to a set of ngt seats which there are a set of genuine ones on uk ebay for £1595 which also remain unsold......

968 CS seats are the exact same seat as RS seats. Same molds, same shell, same cushions. Cover is fabric (vs RS leather). even in the CS some were leather covered.

RS seats are not sprung under the cushions, these are Speedster seats (same shell btw). I had enough of all types over the years. I kept mine based on their excellent condition.

But yes, they are fabric covered I'll give you that.

As for the comparison to NGT seats, totally different seats.

Some later 968 CS seats did come with the sprung webbing under the seat cushion as also used on the 993 RS. Either way the shell is identical to the 964 RS (I have owned both cars). The 993 RS and Speedster versions did not have the hole in the base for crutch straps, but again the basic shell is the same.
The fabric cushion covers were exclusive to the 968 CS and actually tend to wear better than the leather versions in the 911s.
As to value ?????? No idea, but they're not making any more of them.........

Jamie, agree on all points. Did not know that some CS had webbing on the bases, though.

My CS was an early car with the Cup 1 wheels and the foam wedge under the seat cushion, but I know of plenty of later UK cars with Cup 2s and the webbing seat base.

Bump.
Still have those, would still like to sell.
12K plus shipping. If you are in Europe, there can be a group deal with the alloy front lid (that I do NOT want to ship).

I'd like to move these to go forward with other projects.
