1992 C2 964 - Best tires?

Three Wheelin'
Need to know more about your driving- summer/warm weather only? Rain grip important? Mileage important?
Continental DW/DWS are popular for the street. Quiet and with good grip and characteristics, but the soft sidewalls made the steering too vague feeling for my liking. Almost any name brand performance all-season would be a good choice.
I don't really understand running sticky autocross/track compounds on the street. Sure, you have more grip, but if you're actually using it then you are going way too fast. And the narrow grip/slip edge will get you into trouble quick (cue Magnus video...). Summer tires are boarder line dangerous on a cold rainy day.
I ran my all-seasons at our very cold a/x school this year and they are lots of fun to slide around on, and much easier to control. All-seasons are much more fun outside of competition.

Live in Houston so warm summer and lot of heavy rain. I will generally avoid using the car under too much rain.
Driving style... I would say as any Porsche lover but no track driving. Really looking for a good tire that has good condition under warm weather and some rain and that is not too noisy... Targa's already have their noise level. What do you think of sumitomo brand?

You can keep asking, but all you will get is individual opinions. As I said earlier, go to the Tire Rack website, they have already done the research and have track tests like THIS, where they compare tires of same category under various driving conditions. Then make your choice of tire, that best suites your conditions and driving style.
Following their comparison tests, I chose the Continental Extreme Contact DW and couldn't be happier.
