Default MY NEW 964 - Opinions Sought

After some months of searching, and seeking guidance from this community, I finally pulled the trigger on a great 964. I took advice to avoid the dealers that I didn't feel comfortable with, and ended up dealing with some of our fellow Rennlisters. I drove a few cars, and settled on this '92 C2 from an established PCA guy, also active on this forum. Genuinely great guy, took plenty of time to go through everything with me.

The car has an amazing amount of records dating to delivery, and the previous owners seem like they are all enthusiasts.

My main question is around the wheels. The car came fitted with the 16' cup style wheels fitted, with basically new Michelin Sports. The seller also included some 17' Boxter(?) twists, running Toyo 888's (really noisy) that I have since fitted as I like the larger size. Which work best? I'm in two minds. (I am looking for some Cup 1's and considering selling the twists if I find some)

Any other thoughts on the car welcome.

I'm very sorry but I think the 964s raw and noisy nature is going to wear on you just as soon as the new car honeymoon is over. Your significant other will probably hate it too.

I'll give you $17k for it so that you can move beyond this hiccup and get yourself into a more refined car. Please PM me fund delivery instructions and physical location for pickup.

Congrats on your purchase. How old are the Toyo 888's? That might be your problem...

Do you have a driveway to park it on or are you getting it ready for the pebble beach concourse?

Congratulations..looks like a great car.

Nice ride! Sounds like you are enjoying it already.
I agree about the boxster twists and there are many nice wheel options out there.
There is a set of cup 1s in the classifieds, no affiliation.

Looks like a nice clean car!

Neither of those rims look good...I'd look for some Cup1s. Also, the Cult-werks intake ducts and RS rear center bumper would make nice cheap upgrades.

Congrats! I would go with cup1, cup2s or rh 3.6 wheels. All great looking.

DO you think these wheels are OEM? They don't have the info next to the valve as they should.

Looks like it to me. Cup1s looks great, but are really heavy.

The original wheels look better than the Boxsters IMO. FYI, You can get the lower offset Cup 1 reps from FVD for pretty cheap.

What does 'lower offset' mean? Also - Many people seem most keen on OEM wheels, do you think its money well spend, or are replicas a reasonable option? I'm obviously keen to not spend the earth on the wheels at this point.
