Default What's with 964 JRZ rear shocks?

Have you guys noticed this:

Name: JRZ.JPG
Views: 352
Size: 130.7 KB

It seems like most other rear shock options look like this:

Size: 69.8 KB

Anyone know the reasoning behind the JRZ setup? any upsides/downsides to this design?

Thanks

Less unsprung mass; similar to inverted motorcycle forks.

Feral is right-and less issues with routing the canister line too.
