Default Should I sell?

I was stopped getting groceries the other day and someone offered to buy my 964. I didn't really take him seriously and threw out a price of $23,000 and he was willing to take it. It has 160k miles, slightly slipping clutch, new carpets, leaking oil (switched to synthetic last 2 oil changes ago and it started leaking quite a bit, switched back to dino about 250 miles ago it it seems to leak a bit less).

I paid $13,500 about 5 years ago for it and have put about 15k miles on it, including cross country road trip.

First new baby (6 months old), looking to buy first home soon, etc. Not financially hurting, but it couldn't hurt. We'd need to replace the Porsche with someone that I could put a child seat in most likely, Audi S4 or something like that.

Anyone advice on sales like this? Did you regret it?

You will have to give us more information on the car, I.e. Body style, transmission, option codes, etc. etc.
Have you checked the market lately, some of these cars are selling for well over $40k.

Of course he was willing to take it. i'll give you 23k as it sits sight unseen assuming you have clean title. :-)

Car depending on overall condition should fetch 35+ - if really clean/dry over 50.

Regret? Well... that's personal, most here would regret not having a 911 in the driveway. Id say if there is a way you can keep it it'll be a fun car to enjoy with your kids.

A guy here I know has 2 car seats in the back of his and the kids love riding in it.

If original suspension, no top end and needing clutch, a new owner can easily spend $15-20k on this car. That being said $30k is the number that's coming to me.

In today's market, you could get more than 23K and in a short amount of time if you post it here for sale. Man I wish I bought another 964 a few years ago.

post it on ebay or bring-a-trailer, and you'll likely get a lot more than 23k.

I'll give you more than Spyrex $23K would be the deal of the century and the flippers will be tripping all over themselves to buy it.

It has, you should be able to get more for your C2 if it has a clean title.

If it's a c2 Coupé that sounds like a 40-45k car to me. With the warmer weather and summer coming the prices will be in line with the big auction results and possibly higher. 23k would be absolutely nuts! I see wrecks on eBay selling for more!

Wow, looks like I won't be selling it. It has a clean title, too. Didn't realize it's more than doubled in price. I follow the prices thread every once in a while and checked it yesterday, but haven't seen enough over time.
