Looking at the workshop manual, it would seem that the final drive ring & diff unit in the tiptronic is similar in layout to the manual box.
I know that some people have change the final drive in the G50 - so has anyone tried changing it in the tip??
It would really overcome some of the low rev shortcomings of the tip gearing and, to be honest, I don't think I need a top end of 165 mph in the UK.
