G50/03
'listers,
Just bought a g50/03 to do a tip>manual conversion. Unpacked and pulled from it's crate, upon first inspection all looked fine but the pix i'd seen were of the trans missing the output flanges. That was somewhat of a red flag but i was assured there was a differential. Now i had asked for a pix of the underside showing the model & serial# My research identified this g50 as a '90 with ltd.slip. But upon closer inspection what i found is an empty case no diff & ring gear with just the pinion gear. The missing output flanges laying in the case.
I want to give the seller the benefit of the doubt but am i correct that a ring and pinion are a matched set? notwithstanding the missing differential which should be a ltd slip. PayPal is withholding funds but unfortunately i don't see a remedy that won't be cost prohibitive. Thanks for listening.
