Looking for the lower engine cover for a 964 if anyone has one sitting in their garage.

Curious why? Most of us choose to remove it due to improved cooling

I suppose the smart answer is they are terrible and everyone should take them off, and send me one. Real answer Its missing on this car and part of the aero pkg. If you have one let me know.

I left mine in Vegas at the shop that rebuilt my engine, Carl's Place. You're welcome to it. My car still does 130 without it.

Probably needs to sell a car with all original parts, even the under tray.

No, it's for my personal car just missing and I prefer to use it.

Always thought the "real" purpose was to keep our garage floors clean and oil free?

Almost convinced with it,
it's a faster car with less drag, no parachute effect or any vortex upsetting the rear end ,
should be developed as a diffuser .
Ok with it; its heavier in the wrong place, and the engine may run hotter in warm climates.
In the best words
adding a front cooler and a diffuser should do the trick .

So true! Thought about putting mine back on for this exact reason.

Curious if you would run into smog check issues when they do a visual of the underside. I'm not sure how the tray mounts or what it covers but would you still be able to see the cat and mufflers or would those be covered up too?

You can still see the cat and mufflers with the tray in place. I don't know about aero or sound reduction, but it does do a very good job keeping road gunk and corrosion away from the engine, brake lines, oil lines, fuel lines, etc. I put mine on for the winter and leave it off when I do my annual spring oil change.
