Default 964 Safety

How safe is a 964 in the event of a crash? Pictures, stories, thoughts, and any information appreciated!

The things that make this car a great drive make it safe. The body is very stiff naturally, the brake are excellent, and it's very maneuverable. Far better to drive around a hazard than understeer into it.

Pretty sure I've seen that car at VIR (esp. those now dzus'd rear quarter panels).

My kids have grown up in the back of my 964 and I've always considered them very safe back there because of the inherent strength of that area due to the 911's unique layout. Think how strong the tub is in the area around the rear seats. Engine, suspension, transmission points are there and require a strong shell. The back seat occupants are also really nicely tucked-in.

Old car with old technology. I'm sure it is pretty safe in a collision but cannot compare with modern cars for occupant protection.

I drive pretty defensively when around traffic. Our cars are pretty small and low to the ground. The less than talented drivers in the US don't seem to see very well and I have had too many close calls in my 964. This never happens in my F250 Superduty!
