Default A/C Condenser Removal

Hey guys,

Need to know if I have to remove my front bumper to remove the a/c condenser. Can't figure out how to get the thing out. Any tips welcome, hoping to not have to remove the bumper. Everything else is out. Just have the condenser left.

Don't think you need to, my bumper never came off to remove all the ac but I didn't have any wings on the car at the time so maybe that helped. I'm sure you can reach everything through the wheel arch liner.

Where a the bolts located on the it? I can't see anything. Other that one bracket closest to the arch?

I know I'm missing something. Are there bolts under it?

Just need the location of the bolts really.

Removing the front bumper is not difficult and makes things easier.

It attaches toward the top and the bottom simply sits in place.
^this is wrong. See my next response.

I know, but just had it off didn't want to mess with removing it again, unless I had too.

I'll check those out.

Wait, sorry. My memory is coming back. It attaches to the bottom and the top simply holds in place via a stud.

At minimum you'll likely need to remove the lower apron to gain access to the brackets/fasteners on the forward edge.

shop manual suggests:

with no refrigerant in system naturally:

1) Remove LH front wheel.
2) Remove wheel housing liner and lower section of front spoiler
3) Disconnect wire connector to ballast resistor
4) Use two wrenches to disconnect ac lines
5) Disconnect wire connector to fan
6) Unclip headlight wire and vent hose.
7) Disconnect both headlight cleaner hoses
from regulator valve.
8) Detach condenser support bracket from lower body
and remove unit.
