Dave,

Maybe you should sell the wheels and get a set of 17"s instead? I am sure you could get quite a good price for your 18"s, especially if they have good tyres on them.

Riccardo,
I've thought about your suggestion of selling the 18's. I have considered this already and if I thought I could get somewhere even close to the £2500 they cost I may do it. Best offer so far was £400. This did make me laugh (and still does) as the tyres alone were £650 so based on that i'm going to work through the problems. Unless you know somebody ............
Cheers

Dave, well yes, £400 was a (bad) joke! I sincerely find it insulting when people do such low offers.

Have you placed a (free) ad in 911&PW, in Porsche Post, also possibly on mobile.de (German site with big exposure) and maybe an auction on eBay?

What are the wheel details (brand, offsets, age, asking price)?

Dave

I would work around it. Some 18" wheels fit nicely on the 964 anyway without any or major modifications. Do some research, perhaps incorporate some Turbo suspension parts to strengthen certain areas and hopefully there should be no problems. It may be that you don't like the ride etc. once you get them on, but at least you have tried. Point is, I would not assume that you have to roll the fenders. Start with the cheap stuff and work up to buying a 993TT to make sure the wheels fit.
