Question.... Should I order a 9.5" rear or 10's? I do have rolled fenders, 2-3 degree camber and a lowered car. I will be using these in the street.

TIA

If you are interested in the E88's, contact Gert at Carnewal. I was shocked when I got his quote and how much less it was (includes shipping!). I'm ordering a set once I figure out which size rear to get (9.5" or a 10").

Nothing against carnewal at all - but, I've heard mixed feedback on warranty issues if not purchased through BBS NA. Just saying'.

You want 10" rears!

-18x8 +51 and 18x10 +51
OR
-18x8.5 +48 and 18x10 +43

I went with the latter, will be tight. 235 / 275 tires.

The price difference is large enough to self insure. Why pay thousand(s) higher?
$150 for an outer used..

Did they start making the LM in 17in again to fit our cars? Last time I checked, it was no longer available.

Spyrex, Why the change in offset for the same 10" width rear?
Just curious...

LMs are awesome wheels. they are sexy, sleek and timeless. However, E88s are my favorite wheel.

They are strong, light and being a true three piece they are very customizable. I have built custom sets for many different applications for street/track and mixed use. I personally run a custom set of E88s on my 996TT and have quite a few friends and clients running them on their street cars here in the Northeast. Wheel fitment and tire choice is key!

If anyone is interested in BBS wheels street or Motorsport please let me know.

Cheers,

David

7 year bump lol - Just researching E88s and recently, FINALLY understand the answer to the above question. It's probably in other threads too - but:
The +51 10inch rear uses center 0288108 / 8" inner and 2" outer shell.
The +43 for the 10inch rear uses a different center (0288107) which allows for a 7.5" inner shell and 2.5" outer shell. So the answer is - more dish...and IMO it certainly looks even better with the 2.5" outer.
The trade off, is the work. I've been talking to people with both fitments and the brave souls with the +43 setup have to work for it. More camber, rolled fenders and specific tire size/brand choices.
