Vert's are higher priced than Coupe?
https://www.hagerty.com/price-guide/1993-Porsche-911
And picture of 'Excellence' mag pricing.
The Vert prices seem pretty ridiculous compared to a Coupe. What's up? I know for a fact that Coupes are well over these prices.
The reason I ask is that I'm trying to explain to a rube '911 expert' that Excellence/Haggerty are bunk. I think I'm wasting my time. I hope you fellows can chime in with some expert advice. My opinion; I should just ignore him.

Haggerty does not show actual prices on the ground at the moment. Things have changed way to fast for them.
Such is life.
As to convertible vs coupe. No comparison. Coupes will always be more.

The way the market is currently the difference in value between a C4 vs C2 manual is minimal for comparable cars, maybe $2-3k, if that. I've seen quite a few sales where there was really no difference between a C2 and C4. Although, there does seem to be a difference in value between a coupe and a cab around $3-5k higher value for a comparable coupe. The biggest difference is the value between a manual and a a tip, with a manual around $5-10k higher than a comparable tip.

what you guys fail to take in account fewer people know how to drive a manual these days and as manufactures go to auto on most everything few willl be able to drive or want a manual in the near future except for us old guys and we are dropping like flies

It was never clear how excellence built their numbers. Hagerty is mainly from collector car auctions. I can imagine that a vast number of cars held by "non enthusiasts" would have a different reference point, including cabs and targas being more desirable. Rennlisters and pelican heads can't own them all....

I fail to understand how these are the experts and yet they always get the info wrong. The Hagerty write up compares the 964 to the 930??? As far as excellence if we went by their valuations from just a few years back the RSA and turbos would never be worth anything and the C2/C4 would all be scrap by now.
