Default any 964 speedster owners here?

I have a 60k mile speedster and i have questions regarding the top and clam shell.
Was wondering if anybody here has experienced the same issues that i have encountered?

do you have picture of your convertible frame hinges?

I find that my hinges can hit the clamshell when putting the top back up if not careful....

Yes that is a nightmare and I think it depends on the tightness of your roof. The locating pins are too small for locate hole and if you lock front and pull hood under clam they jump out and back into clam. I've even tried locating hood on clam then locking front and same thing happens.
I've actually resorted to buying a 930 turbo rear stone guard, cut to shape and fitted section to clam to protect.
Non 964 speedsters have this on theirs to protect.

I put small aluminum plates on my speedster's clam shell. They look pretty good and keep it from getting nicked up.

You can use heat shrink tubing that is large enough to cover the clips. They stay in place really well when heated and do the job
