Im Eric and I just picked up my 1992 C2 Cabrio a couple months ago, I got a really good price because its a fixer-upper. Nothing I cant handle. It has as 138k, runs great, clutch feels good, and looks to have had a reseal/rebuild in the past. have an I finally got the latching mechanism on my car all sorted out and put the top down for the first time and find the main bow on the passenger side is cracked! See attached pics. Is this the failure Ive read about in other threads on here? Looks like my only option is to have it welded or source another one and replace it. Anyone have any experience with this in SoCal? Im guessing its cast aluminum? Anyone know what alloy it is so the right filler rod is used? Any ideas on where to take it to get it welded up in OC or SoCal? If not ill just have one of the guys at work take care of it. Any Thanks
