who makes the best fitting heater pipe/best priced? CF or otherwise?

Hands down, OEM from Sunset will be your best bet for fit and price. There are many CF options but they tend to be slightly more $$. Just make sure that your upper air duct is a 964 part number (964.106.403.02) and not a 993 one, or else it will be a very poor fit.

By a large margin, the OEM. I bought mine from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. This was after buying a CF unit, which I had to return due to fitment problems.
