Default Valuation for Track Insurance

Unfortunately my wife has to take the 964 back to the track, again. I am trying to value it for track insurance and spoke to Lockton about how they value the cars and they mentioned KBB and Edmunds.

The car is a 93 C2 manual with 102xxx miles which she has owned since about 2004. It is driven, but fully maintained and I call it mechanically and cosmetically at least 8.5/10 (but we don't plan to sell, so who cares what others think).

I looked at the 964 prices sticky and am thinking $30-35K value for track insurance, but want to make sure that I will not have a tough time supporting that value if something happens.

Is that reasonable value? Any other ideas for valuation?

Thanks

KBB has my car listed at $12k private party, which is silly low. $30k is reasonable.

Word of advice, do not insure too low. Better high than low so that they do not total a car for a relatively cheap repair such as a door/fender and paint.

Hi Nader!
Did you get a quote for the 30-35K?
Definitely in the range for her car.

Hi Jeff,

Long time, no see. Hope all is well.

I declared the value at $35K when I signed up. Hopefully we do not have to make a claim and the track car will be fixed before the next event.
