964 A/C retrofit in Non-A/C Car
I have a 1989 C2 that didn't come with factory A/C. What parts do I need to retrofit A/C into the car? Is it a better idea to just go with something aftermarket?
Anyone selling a complete a/c system from their 964?

Interesting thread... So does the engine compartment not have an AC compressor bracket ala Carrera RS?
Is the HVAC unit behind the gas tank totally void of an evaporator?
Does the car's harness not have the evaporator temperature probe?
I'd probably start with taking inventory of what the car does and doesn't have, then make a big list, then create some "want to buy" threads and contact some dismantlers and start collecting a bunch of parts.

I did it a few years ago, and it was no hard. Bought a damaged car with A/C and got all the parts from it (much simpler and cheap).
Engine braket is different, and the HVAC has the space for the evaporator.
The electrical harness is the same, but I used an external switch to turn the system on, since I missed the A/C control unit and it was very expensive.
