Hello,
Strange question, Above the radio my 964 has a switch for fog lights, rear defroster, and cigarette lighter. There is a "blank" in the middle which is outlined for a fourth hole. There is also an unused wiring plug behind this area of the dash.
Check the owners manual, no info.
All help appreciated!!

Thanks!!
I assume that is a European option? Is there any info or retrofitting it to an US spec 964?? I mostly hate the unused space![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Thanks Marc,
I had ordered all new rear lights and just changed the order to get the rear European center section. I think 964's are prewired, can anyone confirm this???

The car is not prewired for rear fog lights.
The ROW cars are prewired for Daytime Running Lights to comply with Canadian Laws.
Just add a relay to R63 socket (main fuse/relay panel) and your foglights will operate with the ignition on no taillights.

Thanks for everyones help on this. My 964 was prewired. It was easy. I purchased the switch, **** and symbol from the dealer and installed the switch. Pluged right in. I then purchased a Euro rear tail panel which comes with all the sockets in place. It too, was a simple plug-in. I was due for new tail lights and center anyway so it was no big deal.
I now have rear fog lights and no more "blank" spot on the dash!
Will post part numbers or pics for anyone interested.

I did the same operation on my car (see separate thread on radio removal) and found the pre-wiring (91 C2). One other thing you need to do is to change the R12 bridge (see wiring diagrams) in the fuse box to have the correct logic. With the USA bridge the rear fog lights only work when you switch on the front ones whereas they should work independently.
