I believe you're talking tyres?

I have 255/40 Michelin PS2s on my 9" wide 17" Rufs. They have an ET of 44 which really fills out the arch.

See pictures of my car from another thread:

tires have a range of wheels that they can fit. The wheel stretches the carcass more or less depending on width, to get the best performance from a tire you want to use the widest wheel for which it is spec'd, to get the most comfort use the narrowest wheels. The narrower the wheel the more relaxed/flexible the sidewall

the widest 17 that is spec'd for a 9" wheel is 275/40

an unfortunate side effect of using wider tires w/o also having a lower profile is increasing tire height which adversely affects gearing and parasitic hp losses

I was wondering how wide slicks I could put on my 850CSI 17" OEM wheels.
I am running 285 on the normal street rims in 18"
