Durametric Problem - Cable wont connect

Durametric Problem - Cable wont connect
I've just bought a genuine Durametric cable (enthusiast version).
When trying to connect to my 964, it won't light up green when I plug it into the car. (it wont light up at all).
If I continue with the process ignoring this, the software goes through the motions of trying to connect, but cannot identify the car and when I try to access any of the options (DME, HVAC etc) it just locks and says that perhaps my car does not support it, or my car doesn't have that module!
After contacting Durametric via email (I am in Aus), they have suggested my OBD is faulty, but I have successfully connected other generic cables and have used my friends scantool successfully.. I even tried a cheapo chinese ebay cable and can use durametric 3 with ease..
But I wanted to buy the original proper equipment..
My thinking, is that perhaps I have a dud cable....
Any thoughts?
I have asked Durametric for a replacement 2 days ago, but have not heard back yet.. (time difference halfway around the world I guess...)

Which 19-pin adapter are you using? If it's bought on eBay or other sources it is most likely wrongly wired. All I have seen are not even close to being correctly wired.

Tore is the interface guru, but until he responds this might help-

Curious- what functions does the durametric offer that Tore's cable+scantool does not? C4 diff locks? Knock counts? hvac servo operations? Cooling fan tests?

I believe I have it all sorted now. Will try to re-wire it tonight. Thanks Tore!
The advantage of the durametric is that I have one for my Cayenne already
Supposedly it does diff locks, not sure about the others. I'll find out shortly hopefully.

Interesting....
the solution for me, was a new Durametric cable. They sent me a replacement, and it works flawlessly.
The adapter I am using, was also an ebay adapter, and it works fine with the new Durametric, but not the first one.
If you ended up rewiring yours, please post for others to learn from...

Wiring was incorrect. Unfortunately none of the required pins on the 19 pin connector have wires attached to them. I've had to cut the connector right back to the solder pots and will solder new wires to the correct pins.
