Purple Enemy Returns
Purple Enemy is back after an exterior bare metal repaint in the original and unique special order colour of Porsche 341 Royal Purple. The work was done to the highest standard by Porsche trained body and paint specialists, Lemass Automotive. Tom Martin and his team did a brilliant job. We decided to make a few rad tricks to the car (but nothing that couldn't be reverted back in future), so the side marker lights have been deleted, the front bumper has been modded so the licence plate area is a lot smaller than stock and the towing eye plug is smoothed over (the towing eye now mounts lower down though the grille). The rear bumper now has an RS centre section. The side bodykit is now all body colour, instead of having a black lower section.
The wheels have been changed to 18inch BBS Motorsport E28 three-piece rims with magnesium centres. Totally restored with new outer BBS hoops, hardware and seals. The work was done by Voodoo Motorsport. The tyres are Continentals.
The interior now features an original RS rear cage made in period by Matter in Germany. This was colour coded in Royal Purple. The rear carpet is original RS carpet - but the RS Carrera script didn't work in red, so this was also changed to Royal Purple. Front seats are original 964 RS Lightweight seats by Recaro. The steering wheel is an original 964 RS Touring wheel. Lemass had the rev counter redone by http://www.reapautomotivedesign.com and now starts at aroun 4 o'clock. The face was redone in Royal Purple and has the Purple Enemy logo on it (which I rejigged from the classic Public Enemy artwork).
Apart from this all of the body seals and window rubbers have been renewed and the old windshield has been replaced with a green top-tint screen.
It's great to have the car back on the road, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the work Lemass Automotive has carried out. Would I recommend them? Without question!
Oh, and the night that I got Purple Enemy back Magnus Walker was over visiting London and he drove the car for about 45 minutes - and really enjoyed it. Although a bit blurred - there's a photo of him driving the car. He's working on a 964 right now - so he had a lot of questions about the spec.

One of my favorite 964s. Enjoy!
