1991 Tiptronic Targa 153000 miles How much should I pay
thinking of purchasing a 1991 964 targa. dude says he had the engine rebuilt and tranny gone through. He sent me the invoice for repairs but I'm having a hard time deciphering what it all means. I'm not a mechanic just a dumb dentist. anyone out there wanna help me out. Check out the attachment.
Car has 153000 miles now and he had this work done about 14 years ago. I spoke with the shop that currently services and has for the last 13 years and the guy said that the car has been meticulously cared for and in great shape. I'm still doing a PPI but wanted some advice from the pros on this site. let me know what you think
check out the attached invoice please. thanks
rd
ps the targa 3 invoice is the engine work. the 3 other invoices are just other work that has been done but it was one over 10 years ago. let me know thanks

Well it certainly has an interesting spec and some nice upgrades
Big red Brakes
H & R coilovers
Now a bit of an odd one Its a tiptronic fitted with a supercharger not sure I`ve seen many of them, all this work was approx 50000 miles ago
does it still have the supercharger fitted ?

Targa's are quite rare and can be a bit of a different market, but with it being a tip with that mileage, and if it's in overall good condition and the PPI checks out (no major repairs needed). I'd say you should get it for low 20's.

it is still fitted with the supercharger. It really is a beautiful car. He had the seats redone and targa top redone and this is the listing for it:
I am the third owner of this Porsche and have owned for over 16 years. It has a clean car fax which can be provided. I purchased the car with 81,000 miles and have done many enhancements over the time I have owned it and they are as follows.17" Kinesis aluminum 3 piece wheels as well as the original 16" factory wheels. At 94,000 miles installed K&N air filter, Big Bore Throttle housing, B&B perfomance exhaust. At 107,000 miles the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt. a TPC Supercharger was installed along with an H&R coil over spring and shock kit.At 111,000 Big Red Twin Turbo brakes were installedAt 138,000 a TPC intercooler was installedAt 141,000 engine was removed and supercharger intake gaskets, intake runners, intake boots, injector O-rings and vacuum lines were replaced. A new air flow meter, temperature sensor, fuel pump relay were installed. Front seats have new cover.150,000 miles new Conti Extreme tires151,000 new front Big Red brake pads and rotors.153,000 New skin on Targa top.The car has been in Las Vegas for the last 11 years, I also have all equipment to restore to original factory specs. The car is fast and has no leaks anywhere and has been my daily driver for years
