Rear muffler is on, modified the original 997 hanger bracket to work on the 964.
Originally I mounted the muffler with the rear engine tin in place but I really wanted the rear box to sit in further as I'm also back dating my car and there's just not as much room behind the early apron so to get it in as far as possible I've removed the rear tin and bolted the new hanger straight on to the rear engine support.
Once finalized I'll modify the rear engine tin to fit around it which is easy enough to do.
Due to backdate I've also mounted the muffler up as far as it will go, the apron still won't really cover it but I'll probably cut it in half and lengthen it a little so that it can have slight tail pipe cut out at the base of the apron.
Looking at the headers I'm just about certain that I'll flip them around and face them forward which means I have room to run an extra resonator / muffler on each side.

Here is some inspiration for you. I installed a GT3 Muffler with operating valve onto my Fabspeed headers.....
I bought a set of Side mufflers, cut the valve ans smaller pipe off and then had my welding guru put it all together for me. Even used a stock GT3 Muffler hanger that bolted to the engine carrier, with a spacer.

BTW, Don't enclose the muffler too much, it gets very hot... I had to cut away the bottom of the bumper as it melted it... Still have to clean it up a little though....

Here's mine, also WIP (on a 993). The plan is to use the current custom set-up on my Fabspeed headers to have a more restricted path which loops into a 100 cell cat behind the wheel, and then goes into the higher muffler port for more sound reduction. This will be merged with a larger pipe from the header straight to the larger port in the GT3 muffler.
I have a set of capristo valves that will open the less restricted / louder path under certain rpm / load conditions.
Not the simplest, but should be awesome when done! I just hope it's not too loud when cruising and, more importantly, has no drone!
The Fabspeed muffler will be on the market once this is done.

Some really great ideas here, looking at your Fabspeed having a couple of 180 deg turns in to the cats I'm more than likely going to flip my headers around and run them forward then do a 180 back in to a couple of small resonators one on each side then on to the rear box.
Downside of that is I'll have to extend each pipe where it exits the head by about 1-2 inches as the header won't clear the chain ramp's lowest point.
Running the headers the normal way around means clearancing the front engine tin for them to work.
Still with the price the OBX are i'm perfectly happy with that outcome, mainly engine tin related why I think they don't market them to fit the 964.
From a quality point of view they look great, nice welds, no slag or other junk inside the pipes, very thick flanges and the line up nicely with the head studs.

This is an in car shot via my iphone and Harry's lap timer.
Hopefully over the next few weeks I can get some sound clips of the car accelerating away and a drive by.
