Default g-pipe bent lip

got this used g-pipe off ebay. went to install it, found that the lip connects to the tail pipe is slightly bent. enough that the metal donut cant create a nice seal. started the car and not surprised. there is a leak there.

any idea how i can make it nice and round again? or anyway to seal the area?

Heat and vice grips? Take it to an exhaust shop maybe?

DIY Silicon sealant - that stuff is awesome for exhausts!

Use a sandbag and ball hammer to reshape the lip.

Go with robt964s suggestion - but add a propane torch to heat area you need to beat out.
Get a small enough ball had hammer to shape the metal - you may need a Stella dolly also to help you work the metal. Good work gloves also if you heat.

Thanks guys. I haven't got time to work on this yet. I wonder how much the leak will impact drivability of the car? I cant tell the difference with butt dyno. if it sounds different either. as the low rumble probably masks it.

being that far off in the exhaust system, zero impact at all... not even a chance.

Tap a donut into it with a plastic hammer and then hammer it round against the donut. It'll bend into shape and you'll be fine.

they make a tool to insert into the pipe and it will expand to make it round again. Its made to stretch the pipe opening so be careful about that. Any muffler shop can fix it for you in a couple minutes. They are cheap on ebay.
