Default First alignment questions

Gents,

Could I get your thoughts on how to manage my visit to well known alignment shop in my area with getting MY expectations met.

Assumptions:

I don't forsee tracking car anytime soon, hence, street setup.

I mostly want long and even tread life.

I have little tech spec book with what appears to be factory specs for camber and tow.

Questions

Who needs corner balancing?

Is there a concensus on street setup values?

All suspension is original Turbo setup for this MY 94 TL.

Will changing spring height be involved?

So, if I say even tread ware, what settings does that translate too?

This is a good thread, but the discussion is more performance based than what you're looking for.

Corner balance not necessary. Ride height should not need adjustment unless you want to change it.

I'd probably aim for .5 deg or less negative camber in front, 1.0 or less negative camber in the rear, zero toe and zero cross toe in the front, just a hair of toe-in on the rear axle (for stability), and as much caster as you can squeeze out of the front (evenly on l/r side).

Most important to go to a shop that knows Porsches and how to set them up.
I tried my local guy with bad results. Then got refered to a shop that a Porsche specialist ( Autokennel ) uses.
All was correct the first time !
PS, I'm in the OC, so you may want to get a referral from the LA area.
