They're in the plastic bag center-right.

Here we have the 440cc Bosch Fuel Injector that we use in most of our kits.

A very reliable, modern 4-hole Injector that is capable of power levels of around 50bhp/cylinder. This Injector suits EV6 type fitment and has an EV1 type connector (Minitimer). Its rated at 440cc per minute @ 3 bar fuel pressure and 575cc per minute at 4.5 bar fuel pressure making it a very capable injector.

Please note when purchasing the cost is for a single injector and multiples will need to be purchased to acheive a quantity of these. Note that these are only available in multiples of 2

Manufacturer's suggested retail price 37.50 GBP
Shipping weight 0.15 kg
Minimum order quantity 2
Progressive quantity 2

Checking back what the originals are (as from Bosch) these new ones seem a massively high flow rate. Original flow rate is/was something like 194cc/min.

This potentially looks low but then they booted the fuel pump pressure up to @ 3.8bar - quite a bit above the pressure the flow rates are taken at (I think 3 bar or just under) in achieving the desired/target hp.

440cc/min?! mega increase... Theoretically the 575cc given is closer to the 3.8bar than their 4.5 (the math doesn't stack up somehow for 4.5 bar).

Makes you think that for bang for bucks just changing the fuel pump to a racing version and higher flow injectors would be an idea (if the standard fuel rails can cope).

Anyone done all this with results to share? With the 440cc/min then John, your trips to the gas station might be more frequent

Luckily gas prices are low. In any case, it can't be worse than my Cayenne

More seriously, I thought the new injectors were there in one part to provide capacity for more flow, not throw more gas into the engine that it can burn. As long as I get the performance from the burn I'm not overly worried about consumption.

John, just a thought.............you could run my ECU as stock then plug in yours with the chip, would probably save a bunch of time.

I'm anxious to see what kind of back-to-back-to-back results you get. Thanks for taking the time to do such a comparison.

Good idea because I really don't want to pull the chip again.

Just getting the windscreen replaced. Any 964 owner will love this shot. Some muppet put the old one in with urethane but NO rust

Looking forward to the results too!

John- are you running any engine mods besides the Wong chip? Exhaust, etc?

I'm curious why you went with this kit over VEMS? Similar price points. This looks a bit simpler to get up and running though vems should be more flexible.

This was the only info that I came across on the SC Typhoon ecu.

Not sure how current those specs are. Appears that you can incorporate a wideband o2 for tuning. I'm running the Innovate LC-2. It was fairly easy to install.

And those injectors are whoppers. Should support 500hp.

One request- log the air/fuel during the dyno runs for us!

Cheers!

Fuel flow is a square root function of pressure, therefore uprating fuel pressure from 3.0Bar to 4.5Bar increases flow from 440cc/min to 540cc/min.

Just yanking up fuel pressure is a bad idea as it throws off the entire fuel map throughout the entire rev/load range! You'd need a newly mapped chip to run properly.

That's the beatuty of the SC kit imo, it comes ready mapped to give a healthy power increase on an otherwise standard engine. At the same time it prevents having to run full injector duty cycle, which is what happens when running standard injectors above 290HP. The injectors supplied are capable of suplying enough fuel for any piston/barrel kit and camshaft set you might want to through at it in the future.

The guys at SC know athing or two about management systems and mapping having been responsible for all mapping development at Lotus cars.

Wong chip and primary muffler bypass, otherwise standard.

I went for this because it is supposedly plug and play. We will see! Yes, will log AFR is possible.

John, booked in at Torque Performance for Friday morning at 8am. Robin thinks it will take about an hour. I'd like to record runs for both Standard and Wong chips. Can we meet there with your ECU?
