Any update on VEMS installs? My car is going back to normally aspirated from having a TPC supercharger so hopefully in next couple months I will have mine in and running.

I'm just getting back into mine now. I missed the window of free time at the end of the summer that I set aside to work on it last year and work has been too busy to have the head space since. But things are a bit quieter now and I can tackle some of the blockages I hit.
The level of DIY is beyond what I turned out to have time for, and I have considered simply buying the Specialist Components ecu that a few others have been having success with, allbeit technically inferior to VEMS in some respects.

Mine is running perfectly with help from raceboy
But I have only driven 1000km or so, since it's winter time here.
Problem is when you have all this data available one starts to look for things to do better, like my map reading at full rpm where I can see I have some restricion in the intake section, so if you like to make things as good as they can you will have many hours to spend looking through the logs, but it like it since i'm a nerd

standard coils, the injectors I changed when installing VEMS, so I have never used stock injectors. On my latest logs I think i'm about 82% duty cycle on the 305cc inj, so stock injectors will be too small.

How did you handle the flyback for the injectors? I built a wire in the harness from the AFM power lead (at the plug) to the power feed to the injectors inside the engine fuse box. I am a little concerned about my setup.
I am going with 255cc injectors (43psi). At stock fuel pressure, I believe it is more like 51psi.

I got everything from raceboy with connectors&cables to fit into the oem harness, the only cable that wasn't plug&play was the 12v source to the vems, which I took from the injectors.

I guess the 12v source you needed was for the WB02 heater. That is also something I need to do. Peep has also instructed me to add a diode at the ISV and connect the injector power supply to the afm power for fly back protection.
Are your injectors the Bosch 0 280 155 831 ones?

Alex, sorry about the confusion, I included WBo2 breakout harness from the VEMS unit and connector to build it to sensor, not the WBo2 harness itself. Steffen also made the harness himself, I asked if he wanted me to make it or not, he chose to do it himself. I made him the harness from AFM to MAT and flyback.
Regarding the vacuum hose, yes, my mistake and I also offered that I can send you one iirc but you mentioned there was no need for that.
Regarding startup file, it is just a matter of connecting a laptop and uploading it. If you want I can send it to you.

Hi Alex, I am not sure the Bosch number but will check later this morning. They are suppose to be generation III with 4 hole ports. Based on what I read, I wanted a little more flow than stock, but not as much as the 60 lb injectors I had bought for the supercharger(anybody need 60 lb injectors ).
I am still struggling to understand the flyback. I checked my wiring and I have pin 12 and 37 connected in my wiring harness. I am not sure this is correct.

Can you provide some instructions how to solder the ISV "flyback" diode inside the VEMS unit?
I think the pin 4 (idle control) on the DME connector is hooked up to EC36 pin 6 injector G ch64 (640N MOSTFET).

Pin 37 is the switch positive from the DME relay.

Hi Alex, I am not sure the Bosch number but will check later this morning. They are suppose to be generation III with 4 hole ports. Based on what I read, I wanted a little more flow than stock, but not as much as the 60 lb injectors I had bought for the supercharger(anybody need 60 lb injectors ).
As I said my plan was to start with the standard injectors because that would get me up and running most quickly, but since the VEMS came configured for someone-else's car (wasted spark and different injectors) I was thinking I may as well jump straight to fitting the new injectors.

This is really confusing. I am guessing yours is not set up exactly like mine.
For mine I was to take a wire and connect it to the AFM power at the plug in the engine compartment and connect it in the wire harness that fed power to the injectors which I think was pin 9 in the big plug in the engine bay fuse box. To make it clean and since I did not need AFM anymore, I cut off the plug and spliced the wire to the AFM positive wire. Then I taped this wire along the harness into fuse box and added to the power inside the plug (going from memory - pin 9 on the plug).
I believe the flyback is the only thing that makes the VEMS more difficult to install. Once that is made very clear, the rest is easy.
