gt auto alarm 3000 - immobiliser help?!?
Hi all. First time post and a minor emergency.
I'm renewing my alarm system as the old one is starting to need a few too many blips to work. Eventually it doesbut I want It changed before it dies. The auto electricians who have started on it today have reported that they are massively struggling to find the immobiliser wiring.
I know nowt about alarms but I'm suprised they are making heavy weather of it
Has anyone any tips on where they should look or have any similar experience? I think the alarm is certainly pre 2004 and is fitted into a uk 1992 C2 auto.
Any help much appreciated and more post and pics of the car to follow.
cheers
Phil

Hi Phil
I had a GT alarm in my car that started failing too often leaving me embarrassed to say the least!! My local stereo man in Crawley, sussex removed it in under 10 minutes! I was amazed how crude they are.
Mine was bolted to the front bulkhead just above the passenger footwell. the wiring was simply spliced into the car loom and taped over.
