Hi there, I need some help, I am trying to verify if this wheel is a original 964 RS steering wheel.

TIA

I have just checked the PET and the answer is yes, that is the original deal. One thing I learnt is that the did 2 part numbers for the steering wheel but having seen your part number, I think they are the same thing! I believe the (08 VERL) refers to the wheel when used with "elevated hub".

The descrfiption is

928 347 084 08 Steering wheel with elevated hub Carrera RS M018

928 347 084 07 Steering wheel Carrera RS

Option M018 is listed as

M018 Sports steering wheel with elevated hub 30mm

I hope the answer is comprehensive enough

The "RS" in that wheel is the horn pad only. The 928 and the 964 have the same splines in the steering column. That is why the RS wheel is a 928 part number wheel fitted with the specific RS horn pad.

Is this steering wheel the same size as the "normal" one? I saw one once and thought it looked smaller, but couldn't confirm.

They are actually smaller in diameter 363 vs 380, and are thicker. Very nice wheel! Also has a 944 part number on the earlier RS cars.
