My cars are away for winter hibernation. But if I was a seller, they would definitely awake from that slumber. If snow and salt is a factor, just have potential buyer spring for enclosed transport for PPI. And if deal goes thru, have them call Intercity.

Find a motivated buyer they will find a way to get a deal done, I buy and sell cars in MT during winter - weather is never a factor.

First, sorry for the delayed response. Secondly your a pretty hardcore group. I really value all your input regarding the market and the pricing of my car. I also value sharing your experiences in making a transition from a 964 to GT3. Huge help!

I would be leaning towards a 996 GT3. Wish I could financially make a later model happen but its just not in the cards.

At the moment not anxious to sell and will sit on the fence while I absorb what each and everyone of you posted. Can't sit on that fence forever....

Sincerely,

Dan

Good luck.
Very true, I actually bought mine in West Virginia in January... I definitely didn't relent because of the colder weather

Either way, this thread has me thinking I need to drive a GT3 sooner rather than later!

Drive one and you will be hooked, be prepared for a life altering experience ....and if you are interested, I will have a beautiful Seal Grey 2005 GT3, ready to go in 2 months (Probably Feb 1). I'm in LA. Just bought a white one, so the Grey will need to make room

Different strokes for different folks.

I recently sold my white 6-3 , superb track set up, which I bought after selling my '05 996 GT3 and I am now back to my pretty nice build 964. I really never left the 64 but its my main track car now. The 64 has GT3 seats, Motion Control suspension, Fikse's, Big red Turbo upgrade brakes, RS billet short shift, B-K harness, etc.

I love this car. I don't sit in it, I wear it, and it's unexplainable. The view, the smell, the feel, It's not the same with the 996 GT3. And I'm really not much slower than in the 3. A couple seconds on a 2.9 mile track.

Now here's where I will through gas on the fire - I would buy a 997.2 over a 6-3. The 3.8 is just sweet. 997 GT3 RS, 'nuf said. But that's if I also had a 964...

How cool is it that - just can't decide which car is more amazing? Like picking a puppy, close your eyes and grab one and love it.

Just something to think about.

Sorry, guess I hijacked your thread - $35-40K for your car. Just my $0.02

I drove a 997.2 GT3 and it left me cold. It tried to be too many things, and I just couldn't really feel the car. I did get a ride in a 2011 3.8 RS and Wow, what a machine, but I didn't drive it myself. I think I would love it but really more than twice the price puts it in a different class. I loved all my 964's especially the white RSA with cup suspension. That was as sweet as they come, but I couldn't bring myself to drive it in anger as the value had climbed. The 6-3 to me checks most boxes and for the price gives me room to drive it hard and not worry so much. Can't wait for the white car to arrive. It's more focused and set-up more the way I would want one, and the work is already done. Comes with Nomex Clubsport seats too, so I am stoked!!!
