Glass branded/labeled "Sigla" has always(?) been manufactured by Pilkington Deutschland AG, they've owned the trademark since 1979.

I won't disagree with that. AFAIK, Sigla is still a brand, but is owned by NSG/Pilks.

Reviving this old thread.

I bought a 993 windshield as a spare for the race car, but have switched the race car to lexan.

The windshield on the 964 cracked and I want to replace it with the 993 windshield. Can the 993 windshield be installed using 964 seal?

Its my understanding, you will need to use the 993 seal if you are using a 993 glass.

If you look at your 993 glass do you see an aluminium profile attached around the edge?
If so it means your glass ideally expects the 2 piece inner and outer 993 seal not the single piece 964 one.
