Hey guys. Happy holidays!
Will these cup 1's fit my C4. Im reading that they do from various research but I'm confused how a factory wheel for a wide body car fit a narrow body car:
17x7 fronts and 17x9 rears, both with ET55 offset. Porsche part numbers are p/n 965.362.124.00 and p/n 965.362.128.00 with 205/50zr17 and 255/45zr17 respectively.
Thanks!

Thanks guy.
Here's the next thing I've been debating. My car is original paint but has chips on many panels. Getting a fill detail soon and the detailer suggested touching up those chips as opposed to leaving them be. Touching up will protect the body but never looks great. What have you guys done?

Loving that spring time is here!! Just put on a set of cup 1's!! Pics to follow soon. Next is a "small" audio upgrade since my oem speakers are shot.
Kenwood excelon x799 HU
6.5in Morels
ARC audio mini amp
4x6 arc audio rears
Keep going back and forth on sound damping. Doors and rear deck or just one or the other. What do you guys think? Don't want to lose that aircooled sound in the cabin but thinking a bit of damping couldn't hurt and would def help audio wise. And would prob make a future cat delete and cup pipe more bearable.

The proper way to enjoy these cars is to get a cat/muffler bypass and forget that the car even has a radio. The joy of the air cooled cars is the sound that comes from the rear of the car especially above 5k rpms.

Anyone else have an opinion on dynamatting and where?
#26
Hopefully someone who has done it will come along shortly, I recall a stereo install post where the member used dynamat.
I would do the doors first as I think they would be easier than the rear of the car. Doing the rear deck/back seat area will be difficult and mostly cut out on the mechanical sounds of the car. Overall these cars aren't made like the new stuff, I miss how noisey my 964 was.

To dynamat the rear area you will need to rip off all the factory soundproofing. A big job.
What i did was cut out a piece of mlv and place it over the soundproofing.
When i redid my carpet they put dynamat over the sp. NOT the way it was intended. Read soundproofingshowdown for reasons/tips.
I will be doing my doors this spring.
