Default LED Flasher Relay for 964

I have been changing over the lights in my incandescent lights to LED. No particular reason just because I can.

In the US you have some great suppliers of LED lights but by the time I freight them to Aust. it just proves to uneconomic to buy them there. So I have been buying my LED's out of China and generally very happy with the results.

One of problems I see mentioned on the forums is that for the flashers (indicator lights), is because of the decreased voltage draw, you need to install resistors to make the relay work correctly.

I went around the problem and bought the following LED relay - no affiliation:

http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-El...r-p-13241.html

I am sure there are other suppliers of the same relay.

It fitted perfectly, was cheap and was loads less work then installing resistors.

Just waiting for delivery of the B8.4D LED lights for my instruments and if these fit I will let you know how effective they are.

Hope this will assist others-if you need any help PM me and I will send links to suppliers, LED types, etc that I have learnt.

Bringing back an old thread.

I can't speak highly enough of Tore, just like everyone else who has worked with him. No affiliation. Tore has sent me for a third time the same keyless entry unit only because of my messing things up (in short). Excellent customer service, I highly appreciate his patience with me.

Needless to say, I am a happy customer and will be ordering just about all his products for the old lady.

Any comments regarding the Bergvill FX flash relay install? Does it work fine in the 964 as it does in the 993?

thanks ThomasC2. I just bought the full kit. I might go full LED and buy a headlight kit, too.

Can't wait to receive it and install.

Hey Gus,

I am not sure if I am allowed to post links to websites here but you can google Bergvill FX and you'll find the website to order what you need from Tore. Contact details are also on the website.

Default Any issues with this relay?

cross posting from the 928 forum. I’m looking for a workable solution for led turn signals + relay.

I have installed led turn signal bulbs and a led specific flasher relay installed. But I have some issues.

Problem 1: The green indicator on the dash illuminates very dimly for both the Hazzard and turn signal.

Problem 2: When the amber corner lights are flashing (either turn or hazzard) the light bulb goes from dim to bright.

I’m hoping the relay discuss here does not have these issues in the 964 and this relay may be a good solution
