Does Porsche define kingpin offset @ the wheel center or ground level? My hunch is that 0 offset is reported at wheel center height, which translates to a healthy negative value at the contact patch via the SAI. Anyone know kingpin angle for the narrow vs. wide 964's?

Steering wheel wasn't mentioned yet - changing to a smaller diameter usually helps by 1) increasing effort by reducing radius & 2) increasing effective gain (less hand movement for same change in wheel angle).

Careful with camber & toe, too much negative for either can make the steering overly 'darty'.
You are right I got it backward above, 7ET55 per Porsche has 0 scrub, 8ET52 has +3, positive scrub will require driver countersteer w/ uneven braking and will provide more feedback through the steering wheel. 8 ET58 has -3 automatically counter steers on uneven braking(prefered w/ ABS) and will also provide more feed back through the steering wheel.

The wider wheel provides more grip, an 8 will turn better than a 7 w/ the same tire

I did look at my geometry and looked at my tie-rods. I will update the 2. RS geo settings and look at the stiffer c4/rs tie rods!

I greatly appreciate the detailed input!

Wider wheels will be taken care of beginning of the year!

Thankfully all 911s are designed in a way you can make them feel however you want but you need to find the right setup dude not the 'upgrade' parts sales dude.
So true. Ultimately going manual, but geometry is definitely the starting point.

I suspect I've had more alignments done on watercooled and aircooled Pork than you've had hot dinners ! But feel free to have a pop. Why don't you
