Question Hot buns - or a question for 964 owners with honest passengers

One of the little joys in life is taking one or more of my kids for a ride in the 964 into the hill country. Usually my youngest is solo and rides up front, but occasionally she gets stuck in the back. Even though she is much smaller the contortionist act of entering the passenger area still amazes me...but I digress. The last two times she has been relegated to the coach seats in back after an hour or so she has complained of the seat getting hot when riding on the passenger side. I've verified that the heat exchangers both flow hot air out the proper duct through the wheel well, and I suspect it may be heat loss from the hot oil lines, but wanted to check.

What say you fellow 964ians? Normal, or should I check further?

normal, she's sitting over the oil tank and heat rises, especially with metal components fastened together.... If you have unwanted heat on the passenger side - front, that's a torn hose or bad servo. (nice wheels btw)

Normal! If the car gets really hot be careful of the metal bits for the seat hinges on the centre tunnel. I had someone in the back of mine at Le Mans this year and he notices that when we were stuck in traffic they were too hot to touch due to heat soak!

You might also want to look at the passenger compartment heater "balance/check valve"? There is a plastic film/check valve that can tear (or get eaten by a mouse...)

located in the rear under the front seat belt reel:

My kid yelps when his butt touches the metal part of the rear seat back swivel. It is metal, exposed, connected directly to the body so it heats up fast.

Makes sense. But it's Nowhere near as hot as my exige got, or the trans tunnel in my noble. Both would burn the hair off your legs.

Forget the burns. Memories of being in their dads porsche will outlive the pain. And any marks will serve as a friendly reminder.
