I think the guys in the US and UK are just different. In the US, is it just me or are the British car show hosts Annoying? I refuse to watch Top Gear on BBC because of the arrogant hosts. I do enjoy Wheeler Dealer... Just wouldn't let them touch my car though. Lol

You're absolutely correct. It's beyond a car show. However I've watched some US stuff which is equally inane in different ways.

The only good thing about TG is its the last bastion bastion on political incorrectness, viz winding up the Argies with a 928.

Chris Harris has left Pistonheads. Let's hope he crops up in a mainstream TV programme that is actually about driving. Plus, he does love a bit of pork.

I saw that I guess defying logic is the in thing. Why anyone would put a 235 on an 11 inch rim is beyond me. I have seen tires blow out at low speeds destroying the car when you stretch the rubber that far beyond its intended design, not to mention there isn't an insurance company in the world that will cover any damage related to doing so. then you shlep around in other peoples rides so not to move it because of the inconvenience. I am at a loss for words.

funny thread! The show camp will come to realize years from now and say wth was I thinking? Kinda like when you see old pictures going through family albums and see yourself and say wow! Times do change as well as styles. But form follows function never does.

Do what you enjoy and makes you happy in life. The end of the day were all lucky to be driving these special cars whether its on a track or to the grocers.

I've never ever heard of or personally seen a stretched tire spontaneously explode. Safe is questionable, but has there ever been an issue doing it? Nah. People have been stretching tires for decades. Probably not to the extent I am, but nevertheless, no tire's "intended design" was to be stretched.

Ignore the few humorless souls... Great fun Frank, thanks for the laugh, agree those slammed US 964's looks weird and misplaced, doesn't fit a 911

You coming over first week Nov, Spa Nov 3rd & 4th, we will be quite a few, I am also bringing the 9e car for a few big blasts down Kemmel

There is a thread going on right now about diminished value. "Stance" cars fall into that category quite nicely.

It's only funny until you realize some might be in better condition than your own

That's fine Merle because I'm not interested in selling.... Now that were on the subject, personally I'd rather buy a well kept and enjoyed car over a constantly tracked rock chipped pile of ****.... PERFORMANCE THO!

Funny thing is none of you would say this **** to anyone's face. So why say it here? I enjoy my car and take care of it. Surprised that isn't good enough for you jerks.

Frank seems like a girl with daddy issues to me. Looking for justification from others instead of just minding his business and being happy.

have fun with your scene Frank/black betty. yes I used the term scene to bother you. again.

gotta spell out the sarcasm sometimes.

Once I threw my keys off the roof of a building in Santa Monica and caught them on the corner of fig and Wilshire in downtown LA....
