Default headlights a la singer

can anyone point me in the direction of headlights with the same look as the singer lights, like with the simple clean reflector backs and clear glass...i can only assume that they work and throw a perfectly directed beam, i am also supposing that his actual headlight assemblies are closely guarded secrets as well, but something so cool and perfect must be attainable other places besides the mountaintop...

Singer units are projector-based, not reflector-based. They use a reflector bowl for appearance, not for light optics.

D-ZUG sells a projector solution.

Some rennlisters have made their own projector solutions.

I installed a D-zug solution. Really happy with the light output. I've had to replace the seal around the glass twice. First time I used the D-zug seals they sent as a warranty replacement. Second time I used a Porsche seal. I'm hoping the OEM seal lasts longer. I suspect that the D-Zug seals degraded from heat as the lights run fairly hot.

If you want the clean reflector bowl, be aware that the D-Zug H4 housing has a socket for a city light. I ended up removing the bulb clip for the city light and used metal tape with grey adhesive to seal up the black void. Looks better but not as clean as Olivier's install

If you want Singer style, there are a few options.

1). D Zug as mentioned above.
2). Closest if not the same are those available from a Polish company called Anna Thom.
They have HID's and Hella LEDS and cost around $2000.
Someone on RL has a pair he's selling for $1700 as he's decided not to fit them. That will be Speednme ^^^^^^^
3). RPM TECHNIC in the UK have developed a similar system for approx £1200.00.
4). Cheap option is clear lenses plus some HID's £100

These looks like venomous snake eyes as you can see the support post for the lamp. I am really hoping this was another case of PEBKAC and that by rotating the clear lense you might get better distribution on the bottom, the top cutoff is good as-is. I will try again tomorrow when its not raining with one lense rotated.

For what it's worth, Dzug pictures of housing with taped over city light hole.
