An introduction...
Since I’ve been asking a lot of questions here recently (with many more to come ) I thought I better start an introduction thread. I bought this 1989 911 C4 about a month ago. You probably saw it listed for sale on the forums here (the one in Toronto, Canada). It currently has 180,000km on it and I would say overall it is a pretty solid car. Leak down test showed < 4% on all cylinders so that is encouraging. I haven’t done a ton so far to it (just fixing little things here and there) but I did just finish a 2 day paint compounding and buffing session to restore some luster. Here are a few pictures I snapped quickly (along with my daily driver a 2010 Cayman S). When I get some better pictures I’ll add them to the picture thread.
In my limited time on the forum I can tell everyone here is very friendly and helpful and I look forward to getting to know some of you better.

Welcome!
Is this your first air-cooled Porsche? How do you think the driving experience compares with the Cayman?

Welcome, welcome.
We know the last owner really loved the car, and took good care of it.
I enjoyed my Cayman "test drive", the view out of the side mirror at those rear hips is to die for.

Thanks guys. Yes this is my first air cooled Porsche so I am still getting used to the driving experience. Totally different from the Cayman. In the Cayman everything comes very easy, whereas the 911 makes you work for it. The Cayman is a precision point and shoot type car and the 911 is a car you need to muscle around to get the best out of it. I’m almost as excited about all the learning to be done with the car as I am to drive it.
Yes it has HID's but I'm really not happy with the way they are installed which is why I have another thread asking about alternatives.

Yes they are a custom job but I don't like the look of them personally and inside they look like this:
I think I am going to switch them to H4's assuming that the connector I am seeing is still the stock one. I'll take it apart this weekend and take a picture to confirm.
