So fing excited to have the low rise. Will make motor dropping a breeze. One of the things I hate the most is jacking up these cars to do work. Been putting off my two ballast replacements on c2 targa, then work on the 91 c2 coupe and do valves etc, then the 85 coupe, then the 80sc coupes top end. Good times...
I have a BendPak MD-6XP and it has been a workhorse… I even use it to work on our 5500lb Land Rover LR4 with no problems… Built strong and reliable.
I considered the LR-60, but preferred a mid-rise (48") over a low-rise (26"). A buddy had the 26" and I found it tougher on my back. Either way, Bend Pak makes a great product.
I can assume from pictures the engine will clear. Just back the car in where there is no piston in the way. As far as height, I would of bought a higher lift, ceiling height issues. Building new garage but the town has a building height restriction and the new master is above it so again not high enough ceilings. Someday. I just changed my order to the portable model. Comes with wheels. Somebody here must have the same lift?

I'm surprised you can't get 10'-11' for your garage...sound even more restrictive than my town :-). I sadly could not but not due to town, rather grade and other issues. While you're at ti, I highly recommend radiant heat in the floor in our area...best thing I did with my garage. In hindsight I would have pre-pours reinforced areas for an eventual MaxJax or the like.
It is a overall height restriction from grade. 36 feet u believe and I have a big master suite going in active with a truss system etc. I am def doing radiant flooring in garage floor, as well as 220, air connection etc. Town only letting me do 3 car garage. I will have to come up with other solutions.
Ah, that's too bad. If you're doing radiant floor yourself lmk, got a great source for materials - I had the tubing laid but did the rest myself. Anyway. PM if interested.
Grazie, my friend and fellow Porsche buff got a call from your wife to talk about your garage falling down. He has an excavation building company in town. He called to tell me about your car in the garage. He thought he found a neglected 964. I told him that wasn't the case. I could tell by the location it was yours. Ha. Hope you are driving it!
Ha! I have been driving it some...not as much as I'd like of course but it is a driver so I take it out mostly on the weekend and a day or 2 a week to work. The kids are always asking is we can go in the Porsche (I've programmed them well so far) and I'm happy to oblige.
Since the garage addition I've been deep into yard work to finish off the project before the snow flies. Did complete CV boots on the 964 though, need to do belts...no big car projects which is good because I still hove to complete the outfitting of the garage....oh, and finish the basement :-). Hope you're enjoying your growing collection. What did you end up with for garage height? I got just over 8'. I seem to recall that ~9.5' would enable stacking 964s with a 4 post lift...
