Default Turbo tie rod?

Do the 964 have the ability to adopt the older carrera models turbo tie rod upgrade? Pelican's parts section references this modification but doesn't list a part. It appears the inner rod is like the older models rubber universal joint, at first glance the turbo solid metal joint could be a benefit. Trying to tighten everything up, installing new suspension and lower ball joints, would also like to replace the inner rods if compatible. Anyone swapped out tir rods with the turbo ones from older model?

Doesn't fit at all.

The tie-rods and steering racks are totally different (as is the steering geometry) between the 911 & 964/993 cars so 930 tie-rod pieces are not usable.

Porsche used to make the 993 GT-2/EVO tie-rods that had an inner monoball instead of the rubber coupler, however they are now NLA. These were specifically designed for the 993 EVO/RS uprights, only.

Is there any aftermarket solution that would replace that rubber bush under the rack boots w/ a spherical joint?

Nossir.

At this juncture, any such solution will need to be custom designed and fabricated. I thought about making some of the factory GT-2 ones here since I still have one pair I'm keeping, however the liability laws require a good deal of insurance which is VERY expensive.
