Well I had a little play in the garage this eve to see what I could come up with. The good news is I think I've got it With the help of the press and a selection of old bearing race outer casings I could produce the recess pretty easily in a piece of thin gauge steel sheet. I then gave it a go with 1.5mm aluminium sheet. Not so much joy there. Instead of forming the shape, the smaller inner die would just punch through. If I can source some 50mm M6 penny washers, it'll be job done.

Rob, I made mine using M8 v large flat washers and a press. Would send you a pic but the Pcars at Lemass. In my humble opinion they look just like those above and with a countersunk M6 (or was it M8?) they worked a treat.

Happy to make you 6 if you want to give it a try?

Thanks for the offer NateSaJack. Just found some 50mm x M6 washers on Namrick so I think these will work a treat

How did you get on Rob? I checked at the ones I had left and they are +- 45m M6 with M6 countersunk cross heads.

It worked well. Got hold of some 50mm M6 washers and pressed them to shape. Haven't fitted them yet as I'm away for a bit but they look just right
I'll post some piccies when I fit them.
