I know this is the slowest build ever in the history of 964 addicts.... But it's the little wins that keep one going!! Ha!!
Pete out
Good work! - For info..,
I see your bleed nipples are zinc coated these will rust, I replaced mine with stainless items and when re-installing and used a little PTFE tape on the threads.
Check that the bolts holding your caliper plates in place are stainless, if not I would recommend using stainless, again these rust.
I used silicone behind the caliper plates to stop water ingress and subsequent corrosion which in turn causes caliper lift.
When your done you could also coat your calipers with a nano-coating, G-Techniq C5 for instance, it will help keep them clean and protected.
^^^^^^^
Love that color, and how I'd do it too. I like that much better than the "standard" red...
Thanks. It'll be the accent colour on anything that's not black or carbon.

Gauges look awesome Lucky. I wish I could find someone stateside that offers the 12 o'clock redline modification and recalibration. If I still haven't come winter I'll likely be shipping mine across the pond to Reap.

freedman, I could've sworn I inquired a few years back and they did not offer it.... but on their site the actually show photos of the option although they don't list it in writing. I'll give them another shot to be sure. Thanks!
The fronts are. The rears have the same size pistons as 964 four pots so are technically not an upgrade. However, I ran that same configuration and it was really nice...I liked the extra front bias that the 993 fronts gave with my 964 four pots on the rear.
@boxsey911 my builder is wanting to replace or refresh the original brake master cylinder (964 C2). Bearing in mind these new callipers are 993 C4 should I be considering the 993 item (if it fits) or will standard 962 C2 item suffice?

ps - he is wanting to run brake bias valve too.
cheers

If memory serves from Bill V. teaching me, you'll want the 964 C4 master cylinder. It is larger and can move enough fluid for the larger brakes.
RE: proportioning valve, I ended up just gutting mine to gain a little more rear brake bias. It's worked well on the track for me so far. Might be something to look in to, as well.
My car is a C4, however, so I'm not entirely sure if the proportioning valve is the same.
The 993 booster and master are generally considered the best match for the 993 calipers as the master is larger in diameter to match the larger pistons in the calipers. The c4 master requires a c4 booster which uses a different vacuum system from what I understand.

Thanks bud. Will check this out.

Keep it up! Lookin clean.

Thanks Pete, it’s a 993 C4 kit of callipers. I wonder if the 993 C2/C4 have different brake masters and boosters? Hmmm.
