Just keep coming back to black (A1).
I think that'll do.
The builder, thinks that the cabin interior inc cage should be graphite grey. Just thinking this might look a bit odd.
Thoughts?

Epoxy primer applied. Off for body prep.
Now have to consider the spec. How raw do I want it?
What do you chaps think? Just bearable drive to track car was the plan.

Yep, and no.
Black, but not sure if solid or Basalt.

Awesome. Loving this build and black is most definitely the best colour
As I'm sure you know black is a PIA to keep looking perfect, so whatever kind of black you settle on I'd make sure you have lots of clear coat.
My vote is for a metallic black.
Anyway, as Nath says - looking forward to seeing this at a meet.

Subscribed...Great looking project!
Hard to go wrong with black. Having said that how about Mexico blue or Viper Green...oh or Silver with Martini livery?
Maybe a few concessions for those days you want to go blast some B-roads.
I've had the under carpet insulation stripped but kept (or rather replaced) the engine bay soundproofing, and have head-lining and air-con. However i'll only do a handfull of track days a year.

I think a headlining will be a must, RS door skins, Rennline floorboards. But perhaps a blower inline with a flexihose to give the race car feel but air circ - perhaps that's too primative!! Air-con is a touch too much.

Update!
Decided on the exterior to be Basalt. I love black. It'll match the others and will require only slightly less attn than solid black. So that's that!!
Been two months since the acid dip and e coating. I hadn't been to see it since it was at PARRs so Lou and I jumped in the iQ and trundled up to Lincolnshire. We met Andy Waters at his shop AW Tracksport and he showed us round our old friend....
I was pretty impressed!

So yeah all looking good.
Reason we went was to agree next steps and spec. But again got side tracked by colour!!
Andy is really sure that the interior should be his trade mark dark graphite metallic. It looks cool, you can see stuff against it far better than black and will highlight black components that we put back in. I like it. I saw a BMW he did with it in. In fact, one of the shots we took of the 964 looked (trick of the light) like it was already painted graphite.
What to the '64 massive think of graphite interior?
